Business Spotlight

Dale Carnegie Trainings…here in Port Huron…

Building the skills and igniting organizational spirit to help you achieve unparalleled success.

Kelly Shaw was born & raised in Port Huron - some may recognize her as Kelly Farquhar. She is a graduate of Concordia College Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She has been the Office Manager of Shaw Chiropractic since 1996. Kelly and her husband live in Port Huron and are the proud parents of Tyler, 12 and Kathryn, 9.

Kelly has been working for Dale Carnegie Trainings – Handley & Associates for 2 years. Dale Carnegie Trainings have been offered around the world for 90 + years and are taught in 29 different languages. There is such great value to have a global training with a local touch right here in the Blue Water Area.

Kelly joined the Chamber because, like the Chamber, Dale Carnegie Trainings are interested in helping businesses grow by getting their highest ROP – Return on People. If people are happy and growing they also become and are more productive in their work and everyday life. She also mentioned that she can’t think of a better group of people to offer services to, members of the Chamber understand the need to work together to grow our community to a place where people will want to come work, play and raise their families.

For Kelly, there is no greater reward for than to see others grow and realize their full potential. Each of us has individual experiences to learn from and to build on; she has true admiration for those who strive to continually get better.

Dale Carnegie Trainings are set apart from others by being able to learn from individuals, companies, groups and organizations of their needs and creating solutions that are specific to those needs. They are able to provide trainings in Human Relations & Effective Communications, Sales Trainings, Leadership Training for Managers, High Impact Presentations and 60 different modules related to business needs. The Global Market benefits global industries and companies to speak the same language by operating under the same principles.

Kelly has served on many great community efforts in the past. Presently, she is involved with the St. Clair County Child Abuse & Neglect Council, the Shawn Burr Foundation, Port Huron Figure Skating Club & Port Huron Hockey Association.

Kelly is committed to the betterment of this community as a small business owner, a parent, an active community member and member of the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce. It is her pleasure and honor to be considered as a consultant help your business grow through its’ ROP – Return on People.

Afterall, if talent is an organizations most important asset, maximizing that talent is the most critical challenge… so, develop YOUR competitive edge: People!
