Port Huron's stunning waterway as well as its diverse annual events makes it a tourist destination all year long. Along Port Huron's southern end flows the St. Clair River. As you travel through historic downtown and the beautiful Pine Grove Park, you'll turn along the Thomas Edison Parkway and experience a breathtaking treat. You'll see the expanse of boardwalk with Canada so close you'll feel like you can reach it. The sight of the twin spans of the magnificent Blue Water Bridges that connect Port Huron to Ontario, Canada under which is the mouth of Lake Huron is an incomparable view. Waving proud and huge in the plaza under the bridges are the American and Canadian flags erected there by the community in honor of emergency services. Beaches, parks, unique shopping, golf, hiking, camping, biking, river cruises, cross-country skiing, fishing, and boating, sailing, ice skating, freighter-watching--- the list goes on!

Port Huron's most famous annual event is the Port Huron to Mackinac sailboat race. 82 years old, it's the largest freshwater sailing event of its kind in the world. With over 300 contestants, the event brings boaters and tourists from all over the world to what has become a weeklong festival of parades, vendors, and parties.

Port Huron is home to both professional and amateur hockey. The Port Huron Flags, an expansion United Hockey League team, play their home games at the McMorran Arena in downtown Port Huron to an enthusiastic home crowd. The North American Silver Stick Hockey Finals are held annually in Port Huron and is one of the nation's premier youth hockey tournaments, drawing thousands to town in January.

With over 3800 hotel rooms in the Blue Water Area, you can always join us for Port Huron Hospital Foundation's Festival of Trees, Ice Fest, Pow-Wow, Southside Summerfest and Feast of Ste. Clair, International Symphony Orchestra, The Nutcracker Ballet, Cruise Night Antique Car Parade, Art on the Avenue, Rotary International Day Parade, Blue Water Brass Drum & Bugle Corp Competition, and so much more.
